You were out on a boat late one night. The sky was beautiful, stars glittering above like shattered glass on a black canvas. However the wind and waves were picking up.

You need head back in to shore, but as you do you hear something behind you. Before you can turn and see, two dark figures launch out of the water and grab you, dragging you under the water.

There is a sharp pain in your neck, and you look down to see one of the figures biting it. As you watch, you suddenly are able to breathe underwater using the makeshift gills you were given. Despite that, you’re still bound and gagged as you fall unconscious.

You’re awake.

You look up with a sharp pang in your head to see a handsome figure with dark hair and indigo eyes. He has webs between his fingers and a spine and tail running down his back. He’s the creature you’ve always been warned about: A siren.

Drink this. He shoves a cup in your face and you drink, relieving the headache. Okay then. Welcome to the Deep Palace, I guess.
