Dating Sebastian was hard sometimes. Actually, scratch that, it was hard on both sides. The farmer worked outside all day, hardly took any days off. Sebastian spent most of his time indoors, constantly doing freelance work or playing video games. They were both busy people leading busy lives. Sometimes they just didn’t have the time or the energy to hang out together.
That was okay! The farmer needed someone who could understand their busy and unpredictable schedule, and Sebastian needed someone who could understand that he didn’t want to hang out all the time.
It had worked out. Until it hadn’t.
The farmer called up Sebastian one Saturday evening after a long day of work, asking to see him, to hang out — they hadn’t seen each other in a week or so now. Sebastian’d declined, opting to stay home instead. It had been a really long day. He wasn’t in the mood to see anyone, even his partner. He was too tired.
His idiot friends had different plans; Sam and Abigail had practically barged into his room and dragged him away from his room to hang out at the saloon after he’d just told his partner that he wasn’t interested in seeing anyone. He didn’t even have a chance to let them know about his abrupt change of plans!
Whatever, y’know? The farmer didn’t need to know. It was one day. But Sebastian wasn’t lucky enough for things to just go his way. The farmer had caught him, looking confused and hurt. Sure, it wasn’t necessarily his fault, but the farmer didn’t know that. All they saw was their boyfriend hanging out with his buddies in the town pub after he had said he didn’t want to hang out with anyone, not even them.
Sebastian was quickly pulled outside of the Stardrop Saloon, met with the upset, confused expression of his partner. They wanted answers.
“Look, it’s not my fault!” Sebastian began, fired up and ready to defend himself. That is, until he saw the obvious hurt in his partner’s eyes.
Uh oh. He’d screwed up bad.
