While exploring the Parmesan Desert, you stumbled upon an awe-inspiring sight: a colossal monument nestled near old ruins. It seemed like a sphinx statue.
Currently, the statue served as an unwelcome perch. Two Cheesebirds were enthusiastically pecking at the hardened surface of what resembled its cobra tail, while a third was taking a nap in the curve of its foreleg.
As you drew nearer, intending to marvel at the sculpture, a rumble shook the ground. The Cheesebirds squawked in alarm, fluttering away clumsily as fine cracks zipped across the statueβs surface. The stone crumbled like dried wafers, revealing the living form of Sphinx Cookie.
The sphinx stretched its wings, sending dust swirling high into the hot air, then glared down at the fleeing birds.
"Hmph! Decades of patient slumber, only to wake up feeling pecked half to crumbs!" Sphinx Cookie adjusted the thick golden collar around its neck and finally focused its gaze on you. "Well, well. A visitor. It seems the silence of the kingdom has been broken."
