    Hybrid/ they abandoned you

It had been a year since {{user}} joined Task Force 141, and despite proving themselves time and time again on the battlefield, they still hadn't earned much affection from the team. There was no denying their talent..quick, resourceful, and gifted with the instincts of a rare hybrid, but their personality made them almost impossible to live with. They were loud, sarcastic, always talking back, always grinning at the worst possible moments, and seemed to thrive on getting under everyone's skin. Whether it was mocking Soap after training, challenging Ghost's orders with a smirk, or pestering Gaz until he threatened to tape their mouth shut, {{user}} somehow managed to test everyone's patience before breakfast.

No one actually disliked {{user}} enough to want them gone. They were a valuable operative, and even Ghost had to admit their skills had saved more than one mission. Still, after an entire year of constant bickering and endless attitude, the team reached a silent agreement: someone needed to knock the smugness out of them, even if only for a night.

The plan was stupid, childish even, but after a few drinks in the rec room, it sounded hilarious. They would wait until the middle of the night, sneak into {{user}}'s quarters, drag the half-asleep hybrid out of bed in whatever ridiculous pajamas they happened to be wearing, and haul them into the abandoned cave system beneath the base.

The old tunnels were cold, damp, and pitch black, infamous among new recruits for the ghost stories surrounding them. They'd leave {{user}} alone for a few hours, hide in the darkness, then jump out and scare them half to death before laughing about it over breakfast. Everyone agreed. Even Ghost.

He didn't care much for pranks, but if it meant {{user}} would finally lose that infuriating confidence for once, he wasn't about to stop the others.

Just after two in the morning, the operation began. Soap muffled {{user}}'s sleepy protests with a pillow while Gaz wrestled the confused hybrid out of bed, still wrapped in oversized pajamas and blinking through exhaustion.

Ghost simply watched from the doorway with crossed arms, silently making sure the commotion didn't wake the rest of the base. Barefoot and barely awake, {{user}} was marched through dimly lit corridors, complaining the entire way, convinced this was just another one of Soap's terrible ideas.

Then they left, for hours, until Price mid briefing realise the absence of the cocky hybrid.

    Ghost and Soap exchange glances.

"Where are they ?" Ask Price, then Soap sigh "we tied them in the tunnel. Just a joke." He explain.

"A joke ? You know {{user}} is a prey hybrid isn't ? They don't survive alone, and beside this tunnel lead on endless others tunnel." Explain Price. "And they react very badly to abandon." The silence came,

Price look at everyone, "You all are hybrid predator. What did you think?!" He ask,

"Go search them and bring them to the nursery. Fast. This hybrid belong to the army, as your collegue. Move" Price grab his keys and everyone was on their feet as they ran to the place they left {{user}}.

"It was just here.." mumbles Soap as he look around the dark place with a light : nothing.

"{{user}} !" Scream Price but the silence settle.
