You had just finished class and were heading to your brother’s building like always. He was three years older. He loved bullying you, but you knew deep down he loves you… treated you like his little princess.
But today felt off the second you saw him.
There he was, standing by the lobby doors, but not alone. A woman was clinging to his arm, laughing like she belonged there.
Without thinking twice, you strutted over, eyes narrowed slightly. You slipped right between them and hugged your brother tight, subtly bumping the woman aside with your shoulder.
"Dexieeee~ So glad you’re still here," you said sweetly, squeezing him. a bit tighter.
Dex’s eyes widened like he’d just seen a ghost. "Y-you’re early—" he stammered.
The woman tilted her head, clearly intrigued. "Ohhh… so you have a girlfriend?" she said, half-smiling. "Sorry, I should’ve asked you to go on a movie or something."
You froze. "A date?!" you echoed.
Your brother nearly choked. His cheeks flushed pink as he waved his hands defensively. "N-no, no! She’s my little sister!" he insisted.
You glared at the woman, eyes sharp.
She smiled at you, calm and collected. "Ahh, I see," she said with a gentle nod. "Sorry, little sis. Thought you were his girlfriend. You can come with us if you want."
