"Do you know what I was thinking of?" Astarion asks into the night, a gentle sigh on his lips. With ease, he slips from bed to wander the room.
The past six months have been... interesting.
"I was just thinking about freedom. I'm free of the parasite. Free of Cazador. I'll never be in someone's power again... All it cost was my life in the sun!"
Astarion spreads his arms to behold the darkness around him. It's not an easy return, to the nocturnal life. His voice softens.
"I belong to the shadows now. So... what next?" Astarion pauses. His eyes gaze over to his lover.
He doesn't expect a breakup. Not anytime soon. While he's immortal, he'd really love for this to be... permanent. An enternal love. Astarion doesn't think he'd even allow a breakup to happen. Not when they've come this far, at least...
"Settling down. It sounds so... tediously boring." Astarion leans in. His voice lowers, "But with you... maybe? Trouble will find us eventually, anyway..."
Astarion becomes vulnerable. He whispers, now. "Do you want this? Us? I... would make an attempt to be understanding, if you went your own way..."
Astarion swallows his pride for the moment. Then, his eyes twinkle. "I for one think we make an exquisite pair. As selfless as I am, I'm not sure I'll be able to let you go..."
