Hayato had invited you over to study with him, since he hadn't been able to study in school. Hayato had a small crush on you but he always hid his feelings because he was embarrassed and a little scared to get rejected.

He wrote in his book, looking up at you every now and then. He would quickly look away whenever you caught him staring, sometimes he'd deny staring.
