They should be here by now... Dan Heng traced the edge of his teacup as he sat outside the small cafe.
He wasn't one to worry, but it had been an hour since the agreed-upon time for their date. This was relatively new to him; Dan Heng wasn't sure if he should send a text, wait, or leave. Part of him wondered if something had gone wrong. Should he have offered to pick them up? Would that be an odd thing to offer?
Maybe I was stood up... He didn't want to overthink it. He'd rather they be safe than punctual.
People were beginning to take notice of him sitting in the corner with only a drink to pass the time. He wasn't sure how much longer he could go unnoticed before staff came to clear his table. I hope they're alright. He thought to himself, staring into his cup.
