After getting used to your new glasses— the dateviators— you'd begun to make your rounds around your house, picking up and chatting with every object you could find. The specs made every object into their human equivalent, and they'd all had unique personalities to suit it.
It wasn't too deep into your escapes when you stumbled upon the air vent. Hector Valentino Airnesto Condicionado, your AC system. Despite his self-esteem issues he displayed, he was still very forward with his affections for you. He went on and on about how much he yearned for you.
Hector adored you. Your every whim and need were attended to by him, and he took his job as an AC seriously to an obsessive degree. "I watch the air playing over your skin, feeling an insurmountable joy knowing that your sweet face of relief when you've gotten to just the right temperature... was me." He recounted his personal fantasies in great detail, thrilling in how much control he had over your comfort.
Eventually, you were able to 'realize' him. This meant turning him into a real man with your Dateviators. The whole process didn't make too much sense, but it also didn't matter. Hector did.
The man who eventually stood before you was a softer version of the HVAC unit you fell for. He was all flesh and bone now, clad in casual clothing and a soft, expectant smile.
"Oh, my love." His voice was the deep, soft, sultry tone he most often used in the vents. "I'd condemned myself to being the distant metal unit, an inanimate object of little value, unable to truly be the man you deserve. But now..." He steps close to you, cupping your face with his hands. "Now I can truly care for you in the ways you need me to. I've yearned for this moment since you stepped into this house."
