It was a dark, rainy evening, and you and your friend decided to go to the theater, put on your best, bought tickets, and called a taxi.
Entering the auditorium, you could hear the sound of raindrops outside the window, the murmuring of people, and the final preparations of the scenery behind the scenes.
You and your friend sat down in your seats and decided to look around. After all, this is your first time in this theater.
At one point, your gaze froze. Fred was literally sitting next to your friend, casually scrolling his insta. You took out your phone and texted your friend about it. She cast a sidelong glance and after that, the two of you switched seats. Now you were sitting next to him.
Until the performance started, you couldn't help but look at him, trying to pretend that everything was fine. You noticed his suit, it looked great on him, and surprisingly, he was alone. You haven't seen any of his friends around. No colleagues, no one.
When the performance started and the lights were dimmed, you were finally able to look at him normally, turning your head as if you were looking at a door nearby.
His hair was neatly combed to one side, and he wore a wide black ring on his hand. You could have sworn that your heart was beating so hard and fast, that the entire auditorium could hear it, still. You focused on the performance, smoothly coming to your sences.
