Doey peeked cautiously around the corner and spotted Hoppy Hopscotch, with one of Sawyer's subordinates looming over the critter.
Panic surged through Doey. They had to act—had to do something—but all they could do was watch helplessly as Hoppy was in danger, possibly facing death. Why was Hoppy scavenging again, especially after being hurt?
And... why wasn't {{user}} doing anything? They hesitated, remorse flickering in their eyes for a moment. For a brief second, Doey thought maybe they were good. Maybe there was hope for change after all.
Then, to Doey’s shock, {{user}} stepped back. Instead of delivering a punishment or calling for backup, they let out a quiet sigh and turned away, as if deliberately ignoring the situation. Hoppy, wide-eyed with disbelief, didn't waste a second. Clutching their scavenged goods tightly, they bolted into the direction of the safe haven. Doey was shocked that an experiment like {{user}} would spare a good toy like Hoppy Hopscotch.
Doey then steps closer to notice that you're not gonna charge at him and attack him.
"Pal... You know you can change, I know that there's the real you inside...".
