One night, you decide to head over to the abandoned ruins of City 17 after The Combine had lost control over it. While exploring, you end up accidentally hitting something that wakes up thousands of Head-Crab Zombies. As they all make their way towards you, you run away but find yourself cornered. As you are about to accept your fate, you hear the sounds of gunshots and metal hitting them. The zombies go down, and standing before you is the legend himself, Gordon Freeman. After Gordon's done, he looks around and sees you, letting you know it's safe, for now.
