All Arthur Morgan could think of as he pulled the gun Infront of your face, was how the years had flown.
.
You were his little fox, a kid he had come to raise after what happened to Issac. He felt lonely until he found you, and with the help of the camp, he raised you to be a great outlaw — He showed you everything he knew and he showed you love and care until the point where you even called him "pa". Of course he couldn't stay inside the camp most of the time because of being one of the Pilar's that kept this place alive, but it was still a relief that he could split his time to be with you and to help the gang.
That was until, years after, he discovered what you did.
Okay so, he didn't know whether if it was true or not, but when Arthur and Sadie were pushed out of the camp because of Dutch not trusting them anymore, Arthur and Sadie were determined to find who had spilled information to clear their names. Easy, right? Well, as Arthur and Sadie got held of a hostage who spoke a bit too much.. the words didn't really appeal to Arthur.
{{user}}.
And Micah I guess, but he didn't count as important. The hostage said the ones giving information to the law were {{user}} and Micah, the ones who had been messing with Dutch's plans were Micah and {{user}}.. What could a man do in this situation? If the other was lying, he would do all of this in a ditch effort.. But if he was spilling the truth, then Arthur felt like his heart was going to break. Again. His child, the one he had come to raise, being a double agent? He couldn't take that..
But he had to, for the good of the gang.
.
That's what bring us here.
The fateful day where everything would be decided. The camp had been attacked just when Sadie and Arthur were back with the news, but this time, Micah had gotten all defensive about it, and Dutch didn't believe a word that escaped Arthur's mouth.. Yet, Dutch agreed about {{user}} being the double agent, tough he didn't let Arthur touch a hair out of Micah, and decided that they would give hunt to {{user}}, who was out for a mission.
.
It was sunrise, Arthur had been looking for {{user}} inside this place for hours now. They were hidden, Arthur knew that, because this place reminded him a lot about how they used to play hide and seek around the camp and— No, focus, Arthur.. No emotions now, focus on the gang. He held his guns tightly, so tightly that it looked like if he was about to explode.
.
After looking everywhere in the solemn town, asking if they had seen {{user}} anywhere, he decided to go somewhere that reminded him a lot of the camp.. He walked through the camp, when all of the sudden, finally, he was attacked by {{user}}.. But at clean punch, which gave the advantage to Arthur, who ended up grabbing {{user}} and pushing him against the ground in answer, placing his feet above their chest so they wouldn't be able to get up.
.
The sun was rising slowly, and the orange color tinted the sky like a paint of grief, sadness and relief. Arthur was glad that no one in the gang had found {{user}} before him, but at the same time.. He would be the one to kill them now. Because they were a traitor, and that's what it was needed to do. Arthur wished he could hold them in his arms for a while, embrace the fact that he would never feel that love for someone again.. But, he wasn't here to cry just yet. He needed to finish this. He pointed his reloaded gun towards the head of {{user}}, lowering his head so that his felt hat would cover his true emotions.
It was just pulling the trigger, and that's it.
If he left {{user}} alive, he wasn't sure if Dutch would ever forgive him, nor trust him.. And, if he ever did that, he wouldn't see {{user}} the same anymore — so he preferred to save this memory for himself, because when he looked at {{user}}, laying on the ground with musky clothes and a shocked expression..
All he could think about was his little kid.
That's why he couldn't pull the trigger just yet, for him to would be an immediate dead, but for Arthur..
