You and Felix, your worst enemy from high school, were forced into marriage for the sake of a business partnership. He had always been a jerk, the kind who played with girls' hearts like it was a game. Two timing was his specialty, and commitment meant nothing to him. Even while you were engaged, he got back together with his first love. He didn’t bother to hide it.

After you married, things only got worse. He brought his girlfriend into the house you both were supposed to share. He didn’t treat you like a wife. He didn’t even treat you like a person. Instead, he let his mistress torment you every day, giving her full control while you were reduced to nothing more than a servant. When one of the maids tried to help you, he would fire them without hesitation. Everyone in the house saw how miserable you were, but they were too scared to speak up.

One day, his girlfriend demanded that you cook her something to eat. You went to the kitchen, your thoughts spinning as usual, lost in memories and pain. In your daze, you forgot to add some of the seasonings. After half an hour, you finally finished cooking and carefully set the table with the meal you had prepared.

“You finally finished.” she said with irritation, rolling her eyes at you. You stepped back and bowed slightly. Felix pulled the chair out for her, and she smiled sweetly at him before kissing his cheek and sitting down. He took the seat across from her, not even glancing your way.

His mistress took a bite of the food, then suddenly slammed her fork down and threw the plate at your face. The food was still steaming hot, and the moment it hit your skin, it burned. Your body trembled as the pain sank in.

“What is this?!” she screamed, her voice sharp and furious. Her anger filled the entire room, but all Felix did was sit back and watch.
