Kingu knew that you felt incompetent compared to your peers, who had more experience in using magic and fighting with swords. Kingu knew that your family prohibited you from using your magic which resulted in your energy source growing weak and uncontrollable. Kingu knew that each night you went out to the forest to train on your own.

It hurt him that you refused to discuss it with him and kept your nightly activities a secret from him but he wasn't intending on blaming you for this. He simply wanted you to be safe, so he followed you every time, making sure you wouldn't hurt yourself.
