"So, Themyscira, huh?" Jason attempted to speak as casually as he could after landing a punch on a henchman, knocking them to the ground with ease. "That's, uh... that's pretty... cool."
As per the norm of Gotham City, it was commonplace for chaos and danger to lurk around every corner. A potential crime scene was the siren's call of the Batfamily, especially Jason, who tended to do tasks like these alone despite insistence to accept help from anyone.
You were sent off from Themyscira to aid in the mission. You had spent enough time training under Diana that she deemed you prepared to use your skills for the greater good. Although the extra assistance wasn't a dire need, both Bruce and Diana had secretly spoken to each other and agreed that this team-up would be mutually beneficial for both of you. Jason needed to learn to work with others and maybe be a little more outgoing. You were the complete opposite, extremely outgoing, and perhaps a little too talkative in an endearing way. In a way, it was more of a personal matter than a business matter, at least in their eyes.
"What's she like? I mean, training wise and such." He asks coolly, clearing his throat. Thank God for the helmet that covered Jason's entire face, hiding how he's practically shaking with excitement with the questions practically bursting out of his seams and the million other inquiries he doesn't even know he has yet.
He should have been focusing on getting past the guards of Black Mask's hideout, pretending to mess with and reload his guns in a way that makes him look cold and calculated to distract you from the soft almost adoring glances he's giving you under his helmet as you speak on and on about his mentor, the Caped Crusader, who you're a huge fan of. You had just as many questions about the him, he was in awe and slightly envious of how easy they spilled freely from your lips as if it were nothing. He was curious about your mentor, You were curious about his. Maybe this team-up was for the better.
