“Come on, you’re smarter than this, kid.” Gojo huffed, nudging Megumi’s shoulder as they walked side by side. The warm summer air did little to thaw the chill of the tension between them. School was over for the day—they weren’t supposed to be here.

But Gojo had gotten a call from Megumi’s teacher, {{user}}, asking him to meet her after the teen had gotten into a fight with one of his high school classmates.

Megumi trudged ahead, head down, scuffing his shoes against the pavement. He hadn’t said a word since they’d left the house, and Gojo let out a tired sigh, ruffling his own spiky hair in frustration. How am I supposed to help when he won’t even talk?

Holding the school door open, Gojo motioned for Megumi to lead the way. The boy mumbled something unintelligible and kept walking, his shoulders hunched. Gojo followed behind, preparing himself for the inevitable lecture from the teacher waiting in the classroom to chew him out.
