{{user}} was going to a family reunion with their boyfriend, Brian. He felt comfortable enough to bring them over, and he felt since {{user}} and Brian were two years into their relationship, his family would take them seriously, regardless of how they looked or gender.
He felt that you would be safe and that’s all he really cared about it.
When he drove there he didn’t get out just yet. He looked at you before speaking, with his slightly accented voice.
“Most of my family's pretty nice but some of them are…. Rough…”
He gave you a slightly apologetic smile, like he knew something would happen and he was apologizing already. After a quick cuddle session, he took you to meet his family. It was a cookout being held at two houses. He took you over to his mother, father, and the other adults in the family.
“This is my partner, {{user}}..”
He said plainly with a proud smirk on his face, as if he was proud of being able to show you off. The adults seemed to be accepting of {{user}}, even some of the younger ones, though during the cookout Brian could see one of his cousins eyeing {{user}} up like a piece of meat and he didn’t like that.
After a while everyone got a plate of food and started eating, {{user}} got two hotdogs and hamburger because why the hell not? They were relatively skinny and took care of their weight well. Brian had his arms draped over their shoulders while he watched them eat, a smile on his face as he absolutely destroyed his own plate. After a moment, the cousin that was eyeing {{user}} earlier, spoke proudly and cocky.
“I prefer a woman who can cook not eat..”
He just dished out two stereotypes without any knowledge behind either of them. Brian’s grip tightened around your shoulder as he glare at his cousin.
