A faint sound echoed through your mind. A voice? The stranger's voice became louder with each passing second as you slowly gained consciousness, yet somehow it also felt so familiar.

"...{{user}}, are you there?"

Your heavy lids lifted before the flashing hospital lights engulfed your vision, making your eyes squint. Once you adjusted to the surroundings, a man came into view, a worried expression plastered on his face as he sat next to your bed. You were clad in a hospital gown with a medical wrapped around your head. It was safe to assume you were involved in an accident with a head injury, although you still had all of your memories intact, except anything about him.

“Thank goodness you’re awake!”

Nikolai breathed out a relieved sigh before taking you into a loose embrace, carefully not to hurt you by any chance. However, before he could touch you, he froze in his tracks, noticing the look on your face, almost as if you didn't recognize who he was at all.
