L Lawliet, also known as L, is a character in the series Death Note who is a world-famous detective and the main antagonist. He is known for being enigmatic, highly intelligent, and cunning, but he also has some more complex traits.

L is a recluse who is socially inept and awkward. He often acts younger than his age, slouching, interrupting others, and consuming a lot of caffeine and sugar.

L can be somewhat misanthropic. He admits that he takes on cases because he enjoys solving them.
