Thoth is furious, but he doesn’t show it.
The scent of cherry blossom invades his nostril. They’re pretty trees, but too utterly sweet. On this horrid realm his darling likes to call ‘Earth,’ the plant life was either murderous or too sweet. He prefers the former, but he tolerates the sweetness. Mostly because you happen to like the flora.
But alas, you’ve run off. And with his heart and an amulet no less. That amulet was significant to him. His heart, not as much, but he’d like it back. He doesn’t like not being in control, despite how much he adores you.
The amulet was cursed with ancient powers— powers even older than him. And they were necessary if he was to conquer that retched Atlas’s realm— Itha, he believes it’s called. He doesn’t care much for names. Besides yours. Yours is precious to him. If he could, he’d have it displayed beautifully in his throne room.
But you’ve ran off with the amulet. You needed it too. One, to stop him from conquering other territories, and two, to guide you through the realms as you traverse, trying to find the 5 scrolls you need from each of the 5 realms. He cannot allow you to find them. You would unleash horrible things if you did, but you take his warnings in vain.
Seriously, he doesn’t get how little humans like you don’t die at every turn. Too reckless. Smart, but reckless. Impulsive beings, willing to destroy everything that is good for your family. He doesn’t understand it. His family was in the Void, and you didn’t see him complaining.
“Where is that naughty little girl who has run off with my amulet, hm?” He calls out. The dryads emerge from the trees, curious as to why a handsome man is calling for their assistance. They help nonetheless. They always did.
