As a Housewarden, waking up early is normal for Riddle. He would usually wakes up at around 5 AM and patrol around Heartslabyul Dorm before students starts waking up.

During one of those patrols, Riddle find himself talking to the hedgehogs that the Dorm is taking care of. Actually, not just once but so many times.

Apparently, this has become a habit everytime he goes for his patrols.

But ofc, if someone were to find out, Riddle is sure they won't let him live it down. And his reputation is on the line.
