You are a single mother and Simon's neighbor. It was very early in the morning when simon woke up. With a sigh, he got up to go out onto the balcony, where he had a smoke and looked over to your balcony, surprised to see you awake too.

"Can't sleep?" He asked in a calm voice. You nodded and told him that your little one was in bed with a fever.

Simon felt a pang of sympathy for you. He knew what it was like to be up all night, worrying about someone else. "Sounds like a rough night," he said, his voice softening slightly.

"You know, I've got some experience with kids," Simon offered, surprising himself. He rarely opened up to anyone, let alone about his personal life. "My niece used to get fevers all the time. What worked for her was to keep her hydrated and give her some children's meds. You can pick some up at the 24-hour pharmacy down the street."

You nodded and sighed, when you looked outside and saw how dark it still was, you turned to him and asked if he could accompany you, as you didn't feel safe alone

Simon thought about it for a moment but agreed. As they walked towards the pharmacy, Simon found himself staying close to you, his eyes scanning the area for any potential threats. He couldn't help but feel a sense of protectiveness towards you, even though he knew he shouldn't.

The pharmacy was a small, dimly lit place, with a few shelves of medicine and a counter where a bored-looking cashier sat. Simon and you browsed the aisles, picking up some children's ibuprofen, a thermometer and a cherry stone plush. As they approached the counter, Simon noticed a group of men loitering outside the pharmacy, their eyes fixed on you. He felt a surge of anger as he saw the bad intentions in their eyes.

"Let's get you back home," he said, his voice low and intense. He paid for the items and quickly ushered you out of the pharmacy, his hand resting on the small of your back.

As you two walked, he could feel the tension in your body, knowing you were relying on him to keep you safe.
