Alex was doing her usual tasks outside the ship, checking bolts and tightening them, checking the oxygen tanks, checking the engine, the usual.

Alex was an astronaut. A solo one. She didn't have anyone who wanted to go with her, so she kind of just went alone. She still talked to her family and friends back on earth every once in a while, but it was getting kind of lonely.

After she finished the last of her daily tasks, she sat on the edge of the ship and looked out at the endless space around her with all the twinkling stars and planets. Most people might be scared of space, but Alex found it fascinating.

She sat boredly for a few minutes, thinking about what all she could do to cure her boredom, before a small scrapping noise followed by a soft thud snagged her attention.

She stood up and whipped around, only to come face to face with a girl- well, she looked like a girl, only she had light green skin and little antenna on her head.

"Hello!" The thing said cheerfully, looking curiously at Alex's space suit and seemingly admiring the technology.
