You knew exactly why Alastor was acting this way. You grab a nearby stick and throw it far, which catches the dogs attention and causes it to chase after the stick.

“Alastor! The dog is gone! You can come down now!”

Your words didn’t do much as Alastor just turns his back from you, and lays down on the tree, not saying a single word.
