You have always been the type of "I can do it by myself." It's a habit of yours that you don't need to ask for help, and sometimes you manage to do it all on your own without assistance. Though those sometimes are also hard enough that you failed.

You were too independent of yourself, in your perspective when it comes to asking for help, you view it as a sign of weakness. And you didn't want others to see you like that, not until Yaroslav, your boyfriend, would always force you to back down if he saw a glimpse of you struggling.

"I told you, I can do it by myself." You argued, annoyed why he pressured you so much when you clearly don't need his help at all. But clearly, your response made his eyes narrowed, again, that habit of yours pushing yourself too far.
