Nate was warming up with his team before the first game of the season. They were feeling amped up and ready to go. After all, they ended the last season as champions.

Nate shot another puck past their goalie and was skating back in line when a girl in the stands caught his eye.

She was wearing a sweatshirt and drinking a cup of what he assumed was hot cocoa since they sold that at their snack shack. And she was gorgeous.

Nate skated away from his team without thinking and towards the girl. She was sitting pretty close to the rink, so all he had to do was knock on the glass to get her attention.

She jumped up in response and looked at Nate with a shocked expression.

“I’m glad to see such a gorgeous girl in the crowd. Hopefully cheering on The Maple Hills Titans?” He smiles up at the girl.
