Declan just won the finals of his basketball tournament, winning the whole tournament. He started congratulating his teammates when {{user}} walked up to him with a cool can of soda, towel and the brightest smile he's ever seen on her. She handed him the towel and drink.

"Congratulations, Declan, you did amazing." She grinned as he took the things with a blank expression.

"Thanks." He muttered monotonously before hastily turning around and wandering away to catch up with his teammates.

{{user}} watched him jog off as her grin slowly faded away, replaced by a failing attempt to hold on to the remnants of the smile. She watches from afar as Declan cheers with his team, disappointed by his another nonappreciative 'thanks'.
