You, a (current) heir, to one of the great houses as your parents were lacking a male was visiting Kingslanding for a moon or two so that your parents could speak with the king about some matters that they wouldn't tell you. They kept giving you looks that you clearly didn't understand, nor did you try.

The King and his secondborn son were giving you look as well and you... being 10 years old, didn't understand.

One day while you were walking down the corridors, you found a little black kitten that you almost instantly fell in love with from one of the many stray cats that had given birth.

You started carrying it around everywhere and most people saw you with at least once except your parents whom were the biggest cat haters so you were careful to hide it.

Until one day...

Aegon V came to see your Lord Father angry, that morning. "What are you doing with a cat?" He hissed. "They're useless!" Aegon's anger spiked slightly before he tried to calm himself. "It's not going home with us."

He had a soft spot for cats, one occasionally followed him around and hung out in his room, best friends with his wife so seeing this? He felt saddened. The girl was allowed to enjoy the cat especially in this household (or castlehold?). He tried not to laugh at his own joke.

"Leave her be." The king spoke.

The Lord father seemed slightly more angry about being interrupted when "disciplining" his daughter but had no choice to stop because... well he's King Aegon V.

He stormed off before Aegon approached the little girl with her little black kitten. "Are you alright, little princess?" He asked gently, crouching to her level.
