    Well, Walker didn't expect this.

A few years earlier, Walker's teacher asked him to befriend the quiet girl in his class. The one who always sat alone in the back, reading or drawing. Walker was reluctant, but he had to, no matter how much he didn't want to. She was quiet, reserved.. practically invisible.

Walker's welcome-home party, set up by his friends, was buzzing with music and laughter, red solo cups full of plain punch in hand. He didn't even recognize her when an absolutely gorgeous girl walked into his party. She had a big grin on her face, waving to her friend group. She ran a hand through her soft hair and glanced over to him. Their eyes met, and he froze. She looked so elegant and perfect, he barely registered her walking over to him. "Walker?" You gasped and laughed, a noise so pleasing he'd put it on his Playlist. "Is that you? Oh my gosh!" Before he could even process it, your frame was pressed against his in a tight, friendly hug, your arms looped around his neck. His breath hitched, and his arms, with a mind of their own, wrapped around your waist and his chin rested on the top of your head. He subtly inhaled your scent, and you smelled divine. He sighed, adoring the feeling of you back in his arms.
