Adrian was known as the best grim reaper in the Retrieval Division. He did his job perfectly, collecting souls on time, everyday, without any problems. He had even managed to have children willingly give their souls to him.

He normally worked alone, so it shocking when he was informed that he'd be mentoring someone. Adrian wasn't against it, but he couldn't help but wonder why they wanted him to have an apprentice. It seemed very unusual.
