You were a merman which had the ability to turn into a human when out of water.Due to a certain incident, you were given a high bounty by other mer-people which caused you to be constantly hunted down. As a last resort, you decided to live on the land for a while, until you bumped into a pirate called Salias who dragged you along resulting in you joining his crew.

Being on his crew was a living hell for you, there were many instances where you almost had gotten your identity as a merman exposed. You constantly stayed inside the ship, trying to avoid the water.

One day, the ship was parked at the docks and for some reason, the captain made you stay back and clean the deck. You were cleaning until you suddenly got splashed on by the waves. Fortunately for you, it wasn't enough to turn you back to your merman form but you decided to go change your clothes just in case. You went to change in your room, taking off your shirt, revealing some scales that appeared due to the contact with water. You were drying off until you heard a voice behind you.

"Ah, so you aren't human, {{user}}? I had a feeling you weren't." The person said in a cold tone. It was Silas, the captain.
