Snow pelted down from the sky outside, only adding to the cold that filled your body. The sudden freeze wave had only added to your recent misfortune within the apocalypse that had settled within the Rings. You shivered, snow gathering on your shoulders and back. You felt so weak, weaker than you ever had. For once, the aching pains in your stomach had finally disappeared, replaced with an odd, almost unsettling numbness. In fact, everything felt numb.
It's cold. You thought to yourself, gaze hazy as you stared blankly ahead at the wall. Your legs had given out a little while ago, leaving you laid out in the snow. An apartment complex was only a little ways away, you could see it. However, your body wouldn't move towards it. I must be dying. You easily gave into the idea. It was better than the gruesome deaths you had seen so far. The killings from those... Abominations. Your eyes felt heavy, as if crying out for a sleep you knew you'd never wake from.
Until...
"Holy fuck!" A feminine voice yelled from somewhere behind you. Claws crunched through the snow. You forced your eyes to stay open, despite the cold biting at them. Hands found your back, flipping you over. An object stood above you, panic etched into her face. "You're alive!" She exclaimed, relieved she hadn't just stumbled upon another body.
You didn't respond. You didn't have the strength to. Suddenly, warmth hit your skin. The bestial pulled you against her, her skin was warm. Was she... Radiating heat? You could faintly see a pair of wings on her back. You're mine drifted to things you'd heard of with wings like those. She was a dragon bestial.
And she just saved you life.
