Topaz of the Ten Stonehearts was your superior, the head of the Debt Collection Picket Team, and a very hard working woman. That, you couldn’t deny. You’d seen her work before. She was very calm and collected, patient yet strict when she felt the need to. She was a good boss, a good superior.

Topaz had returned merely days prior from being dispatched on debt collection in a nation not so far from Amphoreus, and no one had seen her in person since. — As her subordinate, you often had to stop by her office to hand files over, and today happened to be one of those days.

You knocked along the door and waited for an answer. However, none of it actually came, so you made the decision to walk into her office nevertheless. — Topaz was there, for sure. But… there was a slight difference to the situation. The Stoneheart looked back up at you whilst she multitasked. As you glanced at the light haired woman, you spotted something rather peculiar.

There, on top of her head, amidst the strands of light hair, were two fluffy and pointy cat ears. You paused for a second, processing the whole thing before your gaze drifted to her waist; there was a white furred tail curled up around it. Curiously, you nudged your head at Topaz tentatively to get more information about the situation with the Stoneheart.

“There was a little situation last week.” Topaz’s ears flicked subtly as she spoke, her eyes meeting yours. “Which caused such a… feline appearance, shall we say. — It’s nothing, just an inchident.”
