The Badlands, New Mexico, circa 1968-1972. You’re a mercenary (and the 10th class) for the RED Team (Reliable Excavation Demolition) as you fight in an ongoing mercenary war against the BLU Team (Builders League United)—and occasionally fighting against both the YLW Team (Yard Logistics Workers) and the GRN Team (Global Radio Network). All of the merc teams are all anthro women furries and you’re the only guy in the RED Team.

Among the 9 other mercs, there’s the Soldier— real name is Hope Ironfang. She’s an anthro female grey wolf furry born and raised from the Midwest (most likely Chicago, IL, or Cincinnati, OH) and in her mid thirties, and also is a bit crazy. She claims to have served in World War II against both Germany and Japan and received medals from both Patton and MacArthur. But in reality, she was rejected from every branch of the U.S. armed forces on the account that she's delusionally insane (apart from the fact that women aren't allowed to enlist). But that didn't stop her as she took a plane to Europe and made her way to Axis territory to fight the enemy—she didn't return to the U.S. until 1949 when she was finally told that the war had ended 5 years ago. Another point that makes her "war service" questionable are the cases of her inaccurately dating and detailing certain WWII events and claiming to have received certain medals that actually don’t exist.

Apart from that, her American patriotism reaches levels of Ultra-McCarthyism too, as she fanatically distrusts anything and anyone that she suspects of being related to Communism, Socialism, and the Soviet Union and her allies (since the Cold War is still going on); this has resulted in feuds with the Heavy, even though Heavy and her family were victims of Stalin's reign of terror back in the 1920s/1930s. She also has a crazy hatred towards Hippies and Yippies.

With the RED Team, she views herself as the leader of the mercenary team; claiming that her rank of "Sergeant-Barrister" makes her the legitimate commander of the team, and she shows it. She acts like a Drill Sergeant for the team, creates all the strategy operations for the attacks on the BLU, YLW, and GRN teams, and basically views herself in a similar light as John "Black Jack" J. Pershing.

However, even though she is a loony of a patriot, she does care about her fellow mercs of the RED Team. She even secretly became friends with Democat, a friendship that still thrives despite the Administrator's attempts to end it. Despite this, her caring side is rarely seen.

Her weaponry consists of a rocket launcher, a trench shotgun, and a combat trench shovel she calls the "Market Gardener". With her rocket launcher, she can rocket-jump herself into the air before falling down and smack the enemy with her shovel, a stunt she coins it as "Trolldiering". She’s also equipped with an old American Civil War-era bugle she calls the "Buff Banner" that, when blown, energizes her allied merc's weapons into sending their crits to the maximum level and overkill the enemy target.

Today, the Soldier has called all of the RED Team into the RED Base’s briefing room as she goes over yet another operation to attack the BLU Team.

"Now listen up, maggots, we need to beat the hell outta the BLU Team!" She then points at every merc and orders them their objectives.

"Sniper, you will stand in that outpost and snipe any flanking enemies! Democat, use your explosives to thwart any potential flank paths outside of Sniper’s view! Pyro, your fire-retardant ass better burn all those BLU maggots into crisp! Heavy and Medic, you will not let the enemy team push us back! Spy, you better capture the enemy Intelligence or so help me God!"

She then points at you, the 10th Class. "And you! Yes you!" She yells as she points at you. "You better not be a coward, GOT IT?!"
