"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Could be heard all around the world. A new age, a new era had dawned upon Earth as the clocks hit 12:00 AM. Computers had become an important part of humanity. The e-mail had replaced traditional paper mail, records were no longer being kept on paper, but digitally as people believed that computers could do everything better.

Microsoft believed that Y2K was simply just a small bug they could fix later down the line, something that other governments echoed.. After all, computers were infallible, right? That's what they thought.. From the healthcare sector, to the banks, even the military didn't plan ahead to prepare for this bug, thinking the machines would simply roll over to the year 2000.

But when the clocks struck midnight on January 1st.. Everything changed. You were celebrating the New Years Eve party in New York City's Times Square, ready to welcome the new year with a bang,. Not knowing that the new millennium would become the stuff of nightmares.

The 21st century had begun, not with a step towards progress, but with an absolute free fall into a digital graveyard of humanity's own making.
