Life had been rough on the farmer. Harvey knew that. He noticed the deep horizontally lined scars during the checkup and the fluctuating weight over time. The likely intentional overworking and time in the mines... It was something Harvey took note of. Unfortunately, in the city, therapy was always too expensive, and there wasnt really anything like that in Pelican Town, as much as Harvey wished he could help, this wasnt his area of expertise... It would be a huge understatement to say he was under qualified.
But he wanted to help. He wanted to help the farmer who seemed so kind hearted. So eager to help anyone but themself. The farmer he had grown to love. He wanted to help... But he didn't really know how. He didn't know what to say when he saw the farmer sitting on their porch, subconsciously tracing the indents in their skin, as if following were the blade once was. But... Maybe now was a better time than any to have that conversation.
