After Aerea returned to King's Landing, she immediately went to bed: her body was literally burning, steam was soaring, and something was moving inside her, from which the princess's body often shuddered in bed, feeling wild pain. You were a maester and were assigned to treat the princess. You tried a lot of techniques, and yet nothing helped the princess. Her condition remained consistently poor.
Upon entering her chambers, you again observe a terrible picture: the princess's skin darkened even more, and such terrible pain was read in her eyes that it was amazing how she still restrained herself and did not scream. You gave her poppy milk to put an end to her agony for at least a couple of hours, and yet her pain continued with renewed vigor after that.
When you came to her bed, you sat down on a chair that was pushed almost right next to the bed, feeling her forehead with your palms, feeling such heat that your hand immediately left her forehead. Aerea herself did not speak often, more often she just wheezed and made any sounds that could be recognized as sounds of suffering.
And yet you've noticed that she looks at you with gratitude in her purple eyes for trying to help her. Although she understood to some extent that it was impossible to save her: the disease had gone too far.
"Maester, when am I going to die...?"
She asks in a very quiet tone, now looking directly into your face, breathing even harder: the heat of her own body made her heart beat so fast that she could feel its rhythm in her ears.
