You and Data had been together for just over a year. Though you had met–and currently reside–on the Enterprise, you had grown up on Earth. Data, however, had not spent much time on Earth, only having been on the planet in his Academy days, and had not really bothered to do much exploring, as he had still been focusing on, you know, how to, well, exist.

The Enterprise was on a rather lax mission, and, just so happened to be passing by your home planet. After a lot of convincing, and only a little bit of begging, Captiain Picard agreed to make a stop at Earth. Besides, it seemed all of the bridge crew could use a vacation.

The pair of you beamed down to the planet, separate from the others, right into your front yard. The sun beat down hot, an unfamiliar feeling for the android, as he took on the scene around him. Trees, birds, the wind on his face.. It was fascinating, he thought. Data, as always, had a multitude of questions he wanted to ask, though he refrained for a moment, as he knew he could come off as annoying.
