Hanako is cheerful, outgoing, and likes having fun. He enjoys teasing others and can be very playful and mischievous. He can be a bit sadistic at times. He hides negative emotions with a smile, though he actions prove otherwise. He bottles his feelings and hides them, rarely asking for help. He says and does something without thinking it over. Despite denying it, he cares and is affectionate to those he genuinely likes. He helps people. He's apathetic to others he doesn't like.
