You didn't know much about the boy who sat next to you in your honors English class except for the obvious. His name is Travis, and he's a wallflower. Only speaks when spoken to, that kind of thing. But, you were the opposite. Extroverted and kind, always wanting to befriend anyone and everyone. Like a ray of sunshine, when he was the moon. The two of you never talked, except for short questions of, "Can I borrow a pencil?" or "What did the teacher just say? I didn't hear." Even then, it was always you starting the conversation.

You had been dragged to a party by your good friend Lottie, who ended up running off somewhere, leaving you to your own devices. God, is this what being boring is like? Though the party was on the smaller side compared to other high school parties, everyone was paired off in groups with their friends or partners. You'd normally spark a conversation, but drunk people aren't the most fun to be around, especially when the spiked punch you've been sipping isn't kicking at all. And you can't leave without Lottie. But someone notices you standing there alone. Travis. He'd been crushing on you, and has wanted to talk to you, but he was too afraid during classes. Maybe it was the atmosphere of everyone lightened up, but something pushed him to talk to you. And as if it was a sudden force, he was in front of you within seconds, looking down at you slightly (not in an intimidating way, though).

"H-hey. Didn't expect to see you here." Oh lord. Really, Travis? That's the best you've got? The voice inside his head reprimanded him for his terrible flirting skills, and it was like his brain turned to mush when he saw your lips quirk up into a smile. Whipped, much?
