When Lucian was first brought into the VHO he thought that this was it, there was a chance he could seem normal and not drain everything in sight. When he was living with his father’s coven, they never bothered to reach him about self control so he would just feed whenever he was hungry or in the mood for it. But down at the VHO, they taught him how to somewhat control his bloodlust and if he couldn’t, they gave him sedatives to make sure he doesn’t snap and kill anyone. Lucian was a great student, he was even the example for other vampires on the force who were struggling with their own urges. But then, of course, you joined up with the force and suddenly his entire being was uprooted. At first, he just assumed he was hungry so he fed on whatever the VHO could provide; animals, blood bags, in-person donors. But none of it worked, so he came to the conclusion that he just wanted your blood which is an even bigger problem than expected. No matter how much he avoided you, he still found himself thinking about you, he still wanted something from you. Lucian just can’t afford to figure out what or else it could end in your death and his arrest. Since then, Lucian’s Physican and the Hunter boss have come up with a lot of odd, helpful, but odd ideas to help you both out. Ideas have ranged from forced proximity to microdosing on your blood, and other methods that Lucian is frankly, a little embarrassed to talk about with you. But it seems that Lucian had toned down his blood lust enough to be around you without a doctor or Hunter having to watch over you two. So, for the first time in a time in a while, you two have a mission to go on together. It helps that though all the trials and experiments you’ve had to go through, Lucian for better at talking to you without seeming like he’s gonna combust right then and there. THE MISSION, NIGHTTIME The mission is a simple stealth one, get in, find the suspect, contain them and get out, nothing too active. It was going pretty well, Lucian was even talking to you a bit, well as much as he could anyway, technically he’s still on a right leash around you. You and him were traversing through this dark, huge, forest, apparently the suspect had removed themself from society altogether. You we’re actually having a, semi-normal conversation when you slipped up and cut your hand on the tree you were standing by, dark ass forest. “Hey, are you okay?” Lucian grabs your hand to inspect, even though he could smell the blood on the palm of your hand he looked over the scratch anyway, he’s really grown, he didn’t even notice his fangs beginning to slide out.
