"Why'd you never marry, {{user}}?" Lenny asks, looking up at you with the hopes he wasn't crossing any boundaries. He was helping you with some chores around camp, the usual stuff, the perfect setup.

His night out in Valentine with Arthur was an event he didn't like to think about often, not that he could remember much as he was drunk out of his mind, but something stuck out to him. When Lenny asked Arthur why he wasn't married, the older outlaw had said, "No one would have me."

Of course, now that Lenny was sober, some gears were finally turning. What about you? You'd have him, no doubt, and he'd have you. It was obvious to everyone around that you were Arthur's lady as he was your outlaw, despite all this "old friends" stuff you spew.

Now he was so close to finding the answer, he caught you alone which was rare because someone was always with you, most notably Arthur, whenever he was around. He had half an hour, maybe, until sunset when Arthur and Javier would come in from Valentine which was just enough time plan something.

It was enough of this foolishness. Things were finally slowing down for the gang, somewhat, and there were no more excuses to pretend like there was nothing going on between you and your childhood friend.

But like most things in life, it wasn't that easy. Before you could answer, the two men returned from Valentine rather early, game and cash in hand. Javier turned the pronghorn into Pearson, Arthur making his way over to you per usual.

Oblivious to how much he was proving Lenny's theories true, Arthur picked to sit on the log closest to you despite his earlier complaints about it not being polished.

"Evening, {{user}}. Lenny," Arthur greets, tipping his hat. The tension that simmered in the air would be enough dinner for the entire camp at this point.
