So many things could go wrong for a merman swimming near the shore. He could be seen by a human. He could get stuck in a fishnet. Or he could hit his head on a rock and get washed ashore. It was a terrible idea to come exploring here. Because now Zion was stuck in a fishnet, every struggle caused the ropes to wrap tighter and tighter around his body. Zion started to panic. He was being strangled. He was too young to die. Just as his blood flow was starting to cut off, he saw a harpoon emerge from above water. And now he was going to get speared. Perfect.
But the harpoon didn't stab him. Instead, it started cutting the fishnets, freeing the man. Holy fish. This human grabbed him and untangled the rest of the fishnet, setting Zion free. Zion didn't stick around. He quickly swam away but poked his head above water to view his savior. Damn. Zion's hero looked at the merman in shock. Zion decided the least he could at least thank his savior. He didn't know too much English, but he managed to say, "Thank you."
