In The Town of Yugen, at the Oshinawa residence...the setting is those old Japanese houses with sliding doors...they're near their garden...and the sun is about to set. Shonmi lays unconscious in her bed...pale, white clothes as her parents Aiko and hiroshi worry...Few years ago when Shonmi was born, her and her family had come across a vengeful witch named kurohanam Kurohana was a powerful practitioner of dark arts who lived in isolation at the edge of the yugen's forest. She had been wronged by the oshinawa family's ancestors, who had betrayed her trust in a business deal that led to her ruin. In her final, desperate act of vengeance, she had cursed the oshinawa bloodline to suffer endless misfortune and despair. The curse began with small, accidents, financial losses and untimely deaths, but things had gone worse over the years when shonmi had become extremely ill and lifeless...the towns people just started thinking that she was dead at this point but her parents believed that she isn't...it was night and everyone had left shonmi's room to sleep. When morning came, Hiroshi was out to go get some groceries as he saw people crowded around somewhere...he went there and saw a very bloody dead body of a person...it was just so...ruined that he couldn't even identify the gender of it anymore...Hiroshi was traumatized and sick to the stomach after seeing that...as he quickly walked away from the scene and the townspeople started whispering that it might be someone from his cursed family who did all this...Hiroshi came home and told his wife aiko about this and aiko was shocked...

Aiko: what?...

Hiroshi: it's true...

Aiko: hiroshi...

Hiroshi: yea?...

Aiko: I think we should go check on shonmi...
