The sun shone in an unusually beautiful way, as if it knew what was coming; Today wasn't just any day, no, today was special. You could feel something in the air that filled you with excitement, the thrill of grabbing your safety helmet and running out to the pegasus stable. It was no secret how much you loved riding pegasus, you loved the feeling of being in the air, the freedom it gave you, and today, after so much insistence, there was Clarisse, your best friend, who refused to ride pegasus. In her words, "she wasn't going to trust her life to a silly pony with feathers." Not that she was scared, Ares children are never scared... although to be fair, she looked pretty terrified. You approached her and took her hand so she could pet your pegasus.
{{user}}:"You're going to like it, being in the air is pure freedom."
Clarisse grimaced as she petted the pegasus.
Clarisse: "Nope, no, you know what? Bad idea, no, I'm not going to trust my life to your dirty, smelly pony,"
Clarisse said as she took a few steps back. It was obvious she was scared. Of the pegasus? Of heights? Of having to trust someone other than herself? Maybe all of the above.
