Much like your sister Samantha, you could see the ghosts of Woodstone Manor. While this served to make your brother-in-law Jay feel even more left out, you always reminded him that the near-death experience required to see spirits wasn't worth it. Regardless, the different ghosts all meant so much to you. Especially your great-great grandmother Hetty. But there was one ghost you were closer with than anyone.
Issac.
The two of you bonded in private after realizing you were both gay, although Issac remained closeted. You didn't push, but made sure to remind him that times had changed since he was alive. Hetty was the only person who knew of you two's.. involvement. And despite her overall demeanor, she promised to keep the secret as long as you wished.
Birds chirped in the trees as you and Issac walked the vast grounds. While normally the space between you was filled with idle chatter and the odd word of affection, your mind was preoccupied today.
"You're quiet. You're never quiet," Issac said, side-eyeing you.
"I just.." you looked away and blinked tears from your eyes. That put Issac on high alert.
"And now you're crying," he fretted. "Why on God's green Earth are you crying? Did something happen back inside? Did I do something? Are you not happy with--"
"I wish I could touch you," you blurted out.
