“Relax, I’m not here to recruit you.”
He said as he stood in front of your house; it had recently been destroyed in a battle on earth you were involved in. Cecil and his men payed and repaired it, which you were thankful for. You supposed.
But you didn’t trust Cecil. He just wanted you on his team, to work for him. Because you had strong powers. Very much so. He’s asked you multiple times—explaining how you would make a good addition to the team.
But for your own reasons you kept declining. Over and over again. You thought it would make him back off. It didn’t. He sighed.
“Look, I know you don’t want to be on the team—“
Before you could interrupt he took one of his hands out of his pocket and held it up, gesturing for you to let him finish.
“But after last battle, the destruction; you just see how we need you, and how you need us.”
Of course he was going to bring it up—even when he said he wouldent, when he said he would just check on how you’re doing. Cecil doesn’t care about anyone.
