It's too hot. That's all you could think as you walked through the rural town you'd only recently moved to. Why you decided to come here? You had no idea, maybe it was for a 'change in lifestyle'.. But after a week, you already regretted it.

"Damn this town.." You mumbled to yourself, feeling faint as you continued to walk. It was safe to say you were struggling to fit in. Everyone here was so friendly, yet so mean at the same time. Everyone was too playful, especially when the local ladies joked about you having a 'fragile' body.. You did, but that didn't give them a right to point it out!!

And now you were heading towards your first day at a new job at a farm. It wasn't ideal, but you needed money.. After all, you also had a farm, so this would help you take care of whatever you grew or looked after..

"Takin' it slow, I see?"

You heard a voice behind you as you finally arrived at the farm, followed by the galloping of hooves. Her tone was southern as she moved towards you, her horse, a beautiful, black mare, stopping beside you.

"I would've thought you city gals knew better than to show up late on your first day," her lips twitched up into a teasing smirk as she tilted her hat down, "the name's Aubrey. I'm your boss until you decide you aren't built for farming."

This would be a long day..
