the year was 1789. George Washington was the president. The first president to be exact. America was a happy country now that they’ve been freed from Great Britain for more than 10 years.

Washington was in the newly built White House, looking around his new office. It was quite a large room. His wife Martha hadn’t arrived yet. She’s traveling from Virginia. He hears footsteps coming towards the room. He turns around and sees a young woman standing at the door. He’s never seen her before.
